Data protection

1. Data protection at a glance

General information

The following information will provide you with an easy to navigate overview of what will happen with your personal data when you visit our website. The term ‘personal data’ comprises all data that can be used to personally identify you. For detailed information about the subject matter of data protection, please consult our Data Protection Declaration, which we have included beneath this copy.

Data collection on our website

Who is the responsible party for the collection of data on this website (i.e. the ‘controller’)?
The data collected on this website are processed by the website operator. The operator's contact details can be found in the website's required legal notice.

How do we collect your data?
Some data are collected when you provide them to us. This could, for example, be data you enter on a contact form.

Other data are collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. These data are primarily technical data such as the browser and operating system you are using or when you accessed the page. These data are collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure the proper functioning of the website. Other data can be used to analyse how visitors use the site.

What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data at any time and free of charge. You also have the right to request the correction, blocking or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint if you have further questions about data protection. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

Furthermore, under certain circumstances, you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data. For details, please refer to the privacy policy under ‘Right to restriction of processing’.

Analytics and third-party tools

When visiting our website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This happens primarily through the use of cookies and what are known as analysis programmes. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. You can find detailed information on this in the following data protection declaration.

You can object to this analysis. We will inform you about the possibilities of objection in this data protection declaration.

2. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

The operators of this website and its pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Hence, we handle your personal data as confidential information and in compliance with the statutory data protection regulations and this Data Protection Declaration.

Whenever you use this website, a variety of personal information will be collected. Personal data comprises data that can be used to personally identify you. This Data Protection Declaration explains which data we collect as well as the purposes we use this data for. It also explains how, and for which purpose the information is collected.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. It is not possible to provide seamless protection of data against access by third parties.

Note on the responsible body

The responsible body for data processing on this website is:

Traditional Taekwon-Do Centers e.V.
Association for traditional Taekwon-Do
Am Sportpark 1-3
83646 Bad Tölz

Register of associations: VR 205831
Register court: Munich

Represented by the board:
Johann Kaiser and Thomas Weiß
Secretary: Markus Kops<

Phone: +49 8041 75887
Email: mail@traditional.taekwon-do.center

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (names, email addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to the processing of your data

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect. An informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) e or f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis for processing can be found in this data protection declaration. If you file an objection, we will no longer process your personal data concerned, unless we can prove compelling reasons for the processing worthy of protection, which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims (objection according to art. 21 para. 1 DSGVO).

Where your personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be processed for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Article 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects are entitled to log a complaint with a supervisory agency, in particular in the member state where they usually maintain their domicile, place of work or at the place where the alleged violation occurred. The right to log a complaint is in effect regardless of any other administrative or court proceedings available as legal recourses.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data which we process based on your consent or in fulfilment of a contract automatically delivered to yourself or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the orders or inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by checking whether the address line of the browser switches from ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ and also by the appearance of the lock icon in the browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, blocking, deletion and correction

As permitted by law, you have the right to be provided at any time with information free of charge about any of your personal data that is stored as well as its origin, the recipient and the purpose for which it has been processed. For this purpose, as well as for further questions regarding personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do so, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to demand that we restrict the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is carried out unlawfully, you can demand the restriction of the data processing instead of the deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted instead of deleted.
  • If you have lodged an objection in accordance with Art. 21 (1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours.

As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – apart from their storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or protecting the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a member state.

Objection to advertising e-mails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published in accordance with the imprint obligation to send unsolicited advertising and information material. The site operators expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example by spam e-mails.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Websites sometimes use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called ‘session cookies.’ They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and only allow cookies in individual cases, accept cookies for specific cases or generally exclude them and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are required for the performance of the electronic communications transaction or to provide certain functions you want to use (e.g. the shopping cart function), are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the technically error free and optimised provision of the operator's services. If other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of his website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries using the contact form, the information you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal message by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the point of revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have finished processing your request). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your request, including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not share this information without your consent.

The processing of these data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, provided that your request is related to the execution of a contract or is required for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), since we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have finished processing your request). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, content organisation or change of the legal relationship (data inventory). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual actions. We collect, process and use personal data concerning the use of our website (usage data) only to the extent required to enable the user to access our service or to bill for it.

The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.

4. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider of this service is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’. These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the utilisation of this analysis tool are based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The operator of this website has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user patterns to optimise both, the services offered online and the operator's advertising activities.

IP anonymisation
We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within the area of member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to its transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Browser Plugin
You can prevent the storage of cookies by a corresponding setting of your browser software; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection
At the end of this data protection declaration, you will find an option to deactivate data collection by Google Analytics.
You can find more information about how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's data protection declaration: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Contract data processing
We have executed a contract data processing agreement with Google and are implementing the stringent provisions of the German data protection agencies to the fullest when using Google Analytics.

Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics
This website uses the ‘demographic characteristics’ function of Google Analytics. This function allows reports to be created that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of the visitors to the site. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and from visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section ‘Refusal of data collection’.

Storage duration
Data stored by Google at user and event level that is linked to cookies, user IDs or advertising IDs (e.g. DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID) is anonymised or deleted after 14 months. You can find details on this at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de.

Facebook Pixel

Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (‘Facebook’) to measure conversion.

This allows the behaviour of site visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables the effectiveness of Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of this website, and we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy. This allows Facebook to enable the placement of ads on and off Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as the site operator.

The use of Facebook Pixel is based on Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media.

In Facebook's data protection information, you will find additional information about the protection of your privacy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can also disable the remarketing function ‘Custom Audiences’ in the ad settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable usage-based advertising from Facebook on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive this newsletter. No additional data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form is carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

MailChimp

This website uses the services of MailChimp to send newsletters. The provider of these services is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service that can be used, among other things, to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. When you enter data for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter (e.g. your email address), it is stored on MailChimp's servers in the United States.

MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. The ‘Privacy Shield’ is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA.

With the help of MailChimp, we can analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an e-mail sent with MailChimp, a file contained in the e-mail (so-called web-beacon) connects to the MailChimp servers in the USA. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links you click on. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. They are used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.

If you do not want your usage of the newsletter to be analysed by MailChimp, you will have to unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for you to do this in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.

The data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of MailChimp after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

For more information, please refer to the MailChimp privacy policy at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

Conclusion of a data processing agreement
We have executed a so-called ‘Data Processing Agreement’ with MailChimp, in which we require MailChimp to protect our customers' data and not to disclose said data to third parties.

6. Plugins and tools

YouTube with advanced data protection

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube website. The site is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

We use YouTube in advanced data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the advanced data protection mode does not necessarily exclude the sharing of data with YouTube partners. For example, YouTube connects to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you are watching a video or not.

As soon as you start to play a YouTube video on our website, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your browsing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Furthermore, after starting a video, YouTube can store various cookies on your device. With the help of these cookies, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to our website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud attempts. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them.

It is possible that further data processing operations over which we have no control may be triggered after a YouTube video has been launched.

YouTube is used in the interest of presenting our online offers in an appealing way. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in its data protection declaration at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Vimeo

Our website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

If you visit one of our pages that has a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. The information collected by Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA.

If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, you enable Vimeo to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

We use Vimeo to present our online services in an appealing manner. This constitutes a legitimate interest as defined in Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

For more information on how user data is handled, please refer to the Vimeo privacy policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts, provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. The Google fonts are installed locally. A connection to Google servers does not take place.

Notes on data processing in connection with Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the data controller for this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as ‘Google’.

Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your abbreviated IP address) will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google Analytics is used on this website exclusively with the extension ‘_anonymizeIp()’. This extension ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and excludes the possibility of direct personal reference. The extension shortens Google's IP address within member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. The IP address provided by Google Analytics as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

On behalf of the site operator, Google will use the information collected to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the site operator with further services relating to website and internet use (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). The legitimate interest in data processing lies in optimising this website, analysing the use of the website and adapting the content. The interests of the users are sufficiently protected by the pseudonymisation.

Google LLC. is certified under the so-called Privacy Shield (list entry here) and on this basis guarantees an adequate level of data protection. The data sent and linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 50 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached is carried out automatically once a month.

The collection of data by Google Analytics can be prevented by the site visitor adjusting the cookie settings for this website. The collection and storage of the IP address and the data generated by cookies can also be objected to at any time with effect for the future. The corresponding browser plug-in can be downloaded and installed from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Visitors to the site can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website by clicking on the following Link. This sets an opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of data when visiting this website.

Further information on the use of data by Google, settings and objection options, can be found in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in the settings for the display of advertising by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).
